About
Founded in 2023, our goal is to enrich the lives of children through the arts.
Our Why
Red Bird Giving is a nonprofit organization created to preserve the legacy of beloved friend, artist, art teacher and Wisconsin native Julie Briede Ibar. Julie has been a featured artist at Edgewood Orchard Galleries over the past decade, showcasing her original oil and watercolor paintings inspired by nature in Door County, Wisconsin. She had a gift of inspiring others through her passion for life, teaching, photography, art and curiosity of the natural world. The call of a loon, the glimpse of a red fox peering through the woods, trillium soaked in sunlight and fall leaves floating among the ripples of Lake Michigan were all inspiration for her photographs, carefully selected to become subjects of her oil paintings. The detailed precision in each of her brilliant pieces evoke joy and wonder in nature and life. By offering her beautiful blank notecards and journals to others, featuring some of her favorite paintings, we hope to inspire creativity, curiosity and love.
Red Bird Giving journals and notecards can be found at the following locations:
